Returns, Exchanges & Right of Withdrawal

At Athenart, we want you to feel confident in your purchase. If for any reason you wish to return or exchange your order, please read the conditions below carefully.

Right of Withdrawal

The consumer has the right to withdraw from the Contract of Sale within 14 calendar days from the day the product is received, without the need to state any reason — but we would love to hear why :-).

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the consumer may send a simple written statement by email to:

Once the consumer has informed us of their decision to withdraw, the product must be returned within 14 calendar days.

The consumer is responsible for the return shipping cost, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Refunds under the right of withdrawal will be processed within 14 calendar days from the day we are informed of the withdrawal. However, Athenart may withhold the refund until the returned item has been received back or until the consumer has provided proof that the item has been sent back.

The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed.

The right of withdrawal applies only within the legal time limit stated above.

Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return or exchange, the item must be:

  • in its original condition
  • unused and unworn
  • returned in its original packaging
  • returned with the original Athenart box or pouch
  • accompanied by the purchase receipt, order confirmation, or gift card if the item was received as a gift

Athenart accepts returns only after the workshop confirms that the product has not been worn, used, altered, damaged, or returned in a condition different from the one in which it was sent.

Returned items must arrive back to us safely and in their original condition in order to be accepted.

Exchanges

You may request an exchange within 14 calendar days from the day you received your order.

When returning a product for exchange, the consumer may choose:

  • another product of the same value
  • another product of a higher value, by paying the difference

If the consumer does not wish to replace the product immediately, Athenart may provide a store credit that can be used for a future purchase, with no time limit.

For orders within Greece, the return shipping cost is the customer's responsibility, except where otherwise agreed in writing for an exchange.

Refund Conditions

Refunds are issued only when the consumer has exercised the legal right of withdrawal within the stated time limit, or when otherwise required by law.

Any refund, if applicable, will only be processed after the returned piece has arrived back to us in unused condition and has been checked by our workshop.

If the return is accepted, the refund will be made to the original payment method used for the order.

Please note that additional costs related to special shipping methods, express delivery, courier upgrades, customs duties, import taxes, payment processing fees, card fees, or other third-party charges are non-refundable, unless otherwise required by law.

Unreceived, Refused or Returned Parcels

If a parcel is not received, refused, or returned to us due to reasons such as an incorrect address, failure to collect the parcel, unpaid customs duties or taxes, or refusal of delivery, the original shipping cost and the return shipping cost are not refundable.

Once the parcel returns safely to us, Athenart may refund the cost of the item only, provided the piece is returned in its original, unused condition.

Shipping costs both ways, customs duties, taxes, payment processing fees, card fees, and any additional charges related to the shipment are non-refundable.

If the customer wishes the order to be shipped again, a new shipping fee will apply unless eligible for free shipping.

Returns from the United States & International Orders

For returns from the United States and other non-EU countries, return shipping must be arranged and paid by the customer via courier service, such as DHL, UPS, or FedEx.

Any customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or additional charges required by the destination country are the responsibility of the customer.

If a parcel is refused, not collected, or returned to us because the required duties or taxes were not paid, Athenart will not refund the shipping cost in either direction. Only the cost of the item may be refunded once the parcel has returned safely and in its original condition.

Non-Returnable Items

Please note that custom-made, made-to-order with personal modifications, engraved, and personalized jewelry cannot be returned, unless the item is defective or incorrect.

For hygiene reasons, earrings may not be eligible for return if they have been worn or removed from their protective packaging.

How to Request a Return or Exchange

Please send an email to:

with the subject line:

Return / Exchange of Order Number XXXXXXX

Please include your order number, which can be found in your Order Confirmation email, and a short note explaining whether you would like a return, exchange, or store credit.

Important Notes

  • We are not responsible if an item is lost during return shipping when the post office option is chosen.
  • We strongly recommend using a tracked courier service for all returns.
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services, courier companies, customs procedures, or incorrect delivery details provided by the customer.
  • Returned items must arrive back in their original condition in order to be accepted.
